quality of local services and the effectiveness of local democracy
is the key rationale behind the drive to modernise local government.
Underpinning the move to modernisation is e-government.
The Office of the Deputy Prime Minister (ODPM) has stated that the
deployment of local e-government will evolve in the form of three
key deliverables. These are:
